Ben Severne : KA-515 Heading up the design team in Perth, Western Australia, Ben has been building and designing sails for most of his life. A solid background in mathematics has lead to his scientific approach. Coupled with his design abilities, Ben is also one of very few sail designers tests all his own sails. He is considered amongst the elite of the Australian wave sailing movement, and a regular contest winner on the highly regarded WA circuit.

Scott McKercher : KA-181 The legend waterman of Western Australia. Years on the Professional tour and long respected history of not only sailing ability but also technical knowledge make him the Kingpin of the team. Affectionately known as Gramps he is still one of the most highly respected and capable windsurfing talents in the world. Famous for his radical smooth gouging style he is one of the only top professionals who has kept his focus over the years, a testament to his continued passion and enthusiasm for the sport

Trent Pedersen : NZL-108 Trent oversees the entire project, while managing and organising the business on a day to day level. From New Zealand, Trent has been building and designing windsurf sails for over 16 years. Now based in Thailand, he tests, re-cuts and refines a lot of our lighter wind designs. Trent is an accomplished and successful sailor who is on the water at every opportunity.

Eric Girard : KC-63 A true action man in the world of modern day windsurfing. Based in Maui Eric is a key figure in the promotion of the sport of windsurfing and can be seen gracing the pages of nearly every Windsurfing magazine in the world. He is at home in all conditions from the big waves on Maui?s north shore to the flat-water freestyle areas of the inner reef. Eric is an integral; part of our promotional and R&D team.

Jesper Orth : DEN-778 The Race Orth. An experienced sailmaker, Jesper builds the prototypes in the design loft in Australia. His background as one of the most competitive racers on the Australian circuit makes him invaluable to our testing program. Jesper is an all-round sailor, standing out in both the wave and racing disciplines, and his Danish accent helps in his third discipline; chasing the ladies.

Paul Hunt : K-23 In on the SEVERNE sail project from the start. He is the european connection. Windsurfing world travel has given Paul?s wave sailing an all-round style, and a amazing feel for what?s needed for a sail to perform in real world conditions. An infectious enthusiasm for wave and freestyle makes Paul a real stand out both on and off the water.

Luke Walmsley : KA-68 One of the most approachable, and most liked professionals on the tour Luke shares a grommet-hood with Ty learning his craft amongst the pounding conditions of the West coast of Australia. He?s another natural who has taken his craft to the world tour. Clinical and very capable his style is distinctive, fearless and precise. Adding a different style to the team.

Ty Bodycoat : KA-1 PWA rookie of the year. Ty is one of the most impressive talents to emerge in the last five years. An aggressive and fearless style he is also blessed with a natural technical ability that makes his sailing style so addictive and impressive to watch. If a sail is going to be destroyed or pushed past the limits of normal windsurfing Ty is sure to bring it back to the loft for durability refinements.

Colin Sifferlen : NC-4 Freestyle extraordinaire Colin is one of the young guns on the PWA Freestyle circuit. He brings to the team a vast knowledge on new moves and the equipment design required to push Freestyle into the future.Also at home on Formula and Wave equipment Colin is a well rounded part of the team.

Andrew McDougall : KA-X Founder and designer of KA Sail Australia, Andrew has developed the McSail design software we use at SEVERNE. Based in Melbourne, Australia, he keeps our CAD/CAM abilities on the cutting edge. (As well as helping with other IT support!). Always a very competitive sailor himself, Andrew has been focusing his attention on the Moth class to devastating effect...

Timo Mullen : IR-69 The true windsurfing addict, with energy to burn. Timo can be seen busting out the moves from sunrise to sunset, merging passion with aggression he takes every run as if it were his last, full on. This charismatic Irishman is the eternal dynamo energizing the team both on and off the water.
