DESIGN BRIEF: Design a sail for Scott McKercher that combines his trademark power style, with a faster, less backhanded feel. Designed to Scott McKercher?s specs, the Blade is built around his powerful style of riding. The power is set low and forward in the sail, and together with the lower clew position it is geared to driving the board hard and fast through the bottom turn. The balanced feel and immediate response allows for a lot of projection off the lip and it has an incredible ability to re?direct the rider back into the section of the wave, rather than being pushed out the back. The softer feel and increased forward drive makes the Blade a very user-friendly sail. The METALEX-Ply construction and extensive Kevlar reinforcing ensures it will handle punishing conditions.
